BEFORE WE BEGIN

Your questions.

Our advisory and coordination role is agreed for each project. Construction-stage support depends on the scope and the professional team appointed.

Can you help before I buy a property?

Yes. An initial review can identify the information and specialist advice needed before you commit. We agree its scope around the property, intended use and decision you need to make. Legal, valuation and survey work is separately appointed where required.

Can I keep my architect or other advisers?

Yes. We can work alongside your existing team. Our appointment identifies who is responsible for each task and how we will coordinate with them.

Can you join a project already under way?

We can assess an existing project and propose support for its current stage. We first review the information, appointments and outstanding decisions so the scope is clear.

Do I have to appoint you for the whole project?

No. You can instruct a defined stage or agree continuing support. Fees, deliverables and the next decision point are confirmed before work starts.

Who carries out the specialist work?

Architects, planners, engineers, quantity surveyors, solicitors and other specialists are appointed as the project requires. Normally you appoint them directly, with our help coordinating their input. Design, inspections, certification, contract administration and statutory roles remain with the appropriately appointed professionals.

How are fees agreed?

We propose a fixed fee for a defined assessment or mobilisation stage, and stage fees or a monthly fee for continuing advisory work. Specialist fees and other project costs are separately identified. Our proposal sets out the meeting allowance, deliverables and how changes or pauses are handled.
